Purpose of Position:
Supply Braskem system with feedstock (such as naphtha, condensate, ethane, methanol, etc.) sourced from the international market. Guarantee a competitive feedstock portfolio by engaging with market players and internal stakeholders to identify synergies and optimize processes.

Assist and support team members with market analysis.
Propose and utilize derivatives to mitigate commodity price risks.

Key accountabilities:

Ensure:

  • Use of derivatives to hedge against price risk exposure
  • Supply of competitive feedstock to Braskem’s industrial plants, meeting quality and quantity standards
  • Compliance with all procedures and legislation related to Braskem’s feedstock business
  • Effective working capital management through feedstock purchases with extended payment terms

Carry out:

  • Negotiations for purchase and sale with counterparties for spot and term contracts
  • Conduct competitive analysis of suppliers and product origins
  • Input trades accurately into the system and maintain control over pricing exposure
  • Monitor trading flows and develop market analysis
  • Build relationships with key international suppliers such as oil companies, state-owned entities, trading firms, and brokers

Contribute:

  • Business development initiatives, including exploring new markets or streams
  • Trading of gasoline and diesel to meet Brazilian domestic demand
  • Participation in planning meetings like S&OP and Trading Plan
  • Representing the company at relevant feedstock market events
  • Supporting Braskem’s budgeting process

Technical / Management Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the oil, gas, and petrochemical markets, including trade flows and arbitrages
  • Trading and commercial skills
  • Understanding of pricing, risk, and exposure management
  • Knowledge of maritime logistics
  • Technical understanding of feedstock quality and yields
  • Familiarity with Braskem’s feedstock business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, acting as a product or business owner
