Job Title: Freelance Automation Engineer
Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
Hourly Rate: €85-95 per hour
Contract: 12 months initially (with potential for extension)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Automation Engineer to join our client, a leading player in the consumer electronics industry. This position is based in Amsterdam, offering a hybrid working model with just 2 days on-site each week. The contract is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and project requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting automation systems, using tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, PLCs, SCADA systems, Java, and FMEA methodologies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs to support industrial automation processes
- Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control
- Collaborate with teams to improve system performance and reliability
- Utilize FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify and address risks, enhancing system designs
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal and PLC programming
- Solid background in Java programming for automation
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and their integration with automation systems
- Experience applying FMEA techniques to optimize system performance
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Proficient in English (Dutch is an advantage but not required)
